'The best kept secret in Yarmouth'

The Old White Lion is one of Great Yarmouth's most traditional pubs. This splendid Elizabethan building dates back to the 1500's when it was home to the Symonds family whose coat of arms are displayed below. This may not be Yarmouth's oldest pub, but it most certainly is the oldest building in Great Yarmouth that has been turned into a pub. The building is a grade two plus listed building.

The building has been a pub since the sixties, and since October 1995 has been run by David and Anna who have turned it into the warm and friendly establishment it is today.
